Finally, N.G.P has introduced exciting new flavours to the Killa range, 12 to be exact. This is the second flavour I am reviewing from the range and it is the one I am most excited for as the smell is enticing. I have a great feeling about this one. With Killa Exclusive you can expect the same renowned Killa experience as usual, but with a fresh new look and great new flavours. Now, let’s get into this Killa Exclusive Orange Review.
Packaging 8/10
The packaging for Killa Exclusive Orange takes on a clean, white design, the same as the one seen on the Pablo Exclusive line. As mentioned in previous reviews, I’m a big fan of this design shift. This updated and more refined look is a much more presentable option than the original Killa design that features imagery of skulls, guns vultures and whatever else you can find on there. The new look is an innovation I can get behind.
The can itself is just as high-quality as you’d expect from Killa. Tightly packaged, lightweight, and robust. The stickers are perfectly applied, giving the product an overall premium feel. Of course, the can features the usual deep disposal compartment with the N.G.P logo found in other Killa products. In my opinion, it remains one of the most functional waste compartments in the snus industry, staying secure and offering room for up to five pouches. It’s the small details like this that elevate the experience.
Smell test 10/10
Wow! Killa Exclusive Orange might just be the best-smelling snus nicotine pouch I’ve come across. As soon as I cracked open the can, a wave of deep nostalgia hit me. If you grew up in the UK, you’ll likely remember Terry’s Chocolate Orange, and let me tell you, this smells almost identical. The aroma is rich, bold, and instantly recognisable bringing back memories of those sweet chocolate treats around Christmas time.
The scent is full-bodied, with a deep and sweet orange note that blends perfectly with a subtle hint of creaminess, creating a mouth-watering aroma. It’s not overpowering, but it has a distinct richness that sets it apart from other citrus-based nicotine pouches. If you love that classic chocolate-orange combination, you’re going to be hooked just from the smell alone.
Pouch composition 20/20
Killa Exclusive Orange delivers the same moist pouch consistency that Killa is known for, offering a smooth and comfortable experience. If you’re a fan of moist pouches, you’ll appreciate how this allows the flavour to release evenly and steadily. The moisture balance is perfectly silky, ensuring the orange flavour flows naturally without feeling overly damp.
When placed on the gum, there’s minimal burn, especially compared to Killa’s mint variations. I enjoy the lack of intense tingling, but I know that some users prefer a bit of that sensation. So, if you’re one of those who likes a tingle, just be aware that this one won’t give you much of that.
The pouch itself is well-designed, with the filling evenly distributed to form a soft, pillow-like shape. The paper quality is excellent, thick enough to feel durable but still soft, ensuring a comfortable fit. It’s also robust, so it’s unlikely to tear unless there’s a rare faulty batch. The slim profile of the pouch means it’s perfect for discreet use, making it easy to place in the upper lip without being apparent.
Flavour 12/20
When it comes to the flavour of Killa Exclusive Orange, I must admit I was a bit let down, especially after such a bold and intense aroma from the smell test. The scent had set my expectations high, and I was hoping for a flavour to match the deep, rich, and full-bodied smell. Unfortunately, the flavour doesn’t quite deliver the same punch.
While the taste is still enjoyable, it lacks the intensity and boldness that the aroma promises. The orange flavour is much lighter and more subtle than I anticipated, making it feel slightly underwhelming compared to the vivid, nostalgic scent of Terry’s Chocolate Orange that greets you when you first open the can. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a solid flavour, and it has a nice balance of sweetness and citrus, but it doesn’t reach the depth or fullness I was hoping for based on the smell.
The flavour is refreshing, with a natural orange taste, but it doesn’t linger as long as I’d like, fading a bit quicker than some other Killa flavours. It’s enjoyable, especially if you prefer more subtle and smooth flavours, but if you’re expecting the same richness that the smell delivers, you might feel a bit underwhelmed, nonetheless, I am being very critical here and I still enjoyed it.
Strength 14/20
Killa Exclusive Orange delivers the familiar kick you’d expect from Killa, with 16mg of nicotine per gram and 12.6mg per pouch. The strength is consistent with the rest of the Killa line, so I wasn’t surprised by the experience. What I love most about Killa is the smooth, gradual nicotine release, which is no different here. It builds comfortably over time. The balanced nicotine delivery ensures you get a strong nicotine experience without feeling overwhelmed. It’s potent enough to satisfy but remains controlled, making it ideal if you’re someone seeking a moderately strong pouch that is still tame enough to be used as your regular.
Longevity 13/20
Killa Exclusive Orange is no different to other Killa products in that you can expect quality. The perfect moisture balance allows for the flavour to transmit well throughout your whole experience, whether you choose to leave your pouch in for 5 minutes or 30. Despite being a little underwhelmed, as the magnificent smell blows puts the flavour to shame, I cannot fault the longevity. I had this pouch under my top lip for around 20 minutes and by the time I took it out the flavour was still going strong not differing massively from when I initially put it in. After the initial release, the strength was consistent and overall provided an enjoyable ride.
Pros:
- Incredible aroma – The smell of Killa Exclusive Orange is rich, bold, and nostalgic, reminiscent of Terry’s Chocolate Orange, making it one of the best-smelling pouches.
- Comfortable and well-designed pouch – The moist consistency, soft pillow-like shape, and discreet slim profile make the pouch comfortable and easy to use.
- Smooth nicotine delivery – Gradual nicotine release ensures a pleasant experience, strong enough to satisfy without feeling overwhelmed.
Cons:
- The flavour doesn’t live up to the smell While the aroma is bold and rich, the flavour falls short in intensity and depth, leaving a sense of disappointment.
- Subtle flavour – The orange flavour is more subtle and light than expected, which might be underwhelming for those seeking a bolder taste.
- Minimal tingling sensation – For those who enjoy a tingling burn, this pouch provides minimal, which may be a downside depending on user preference.
Verdict and score
I am confident that this flavour will rise and become one of the most loved Killa flavours, the smell and the nostalgia it evokes are enough to do that alone. The flavour although not as great as the smell is still solid, enjoyable and offers a refreshing experience in a world of boring flavoured nicotine pouches.
Who is it for?
The Killa exclusive range is perfect for those who are relatively new to nicotine pouches but seeking something with more of a kick than the Velo or Nordic Spirit pouches they may have been using prior. It’s a perfect step up, particularly if you are a fan of bold and exciting flavours. This pouch would also suit you if you are looking for a product for daily use that provides a kick without being so overwhelming that you have to take a few minutes to calibrate.
I hope this Killa Exclusive Orange review helped to shed some light on the new flavour and influenced your next purchasing decision! If you want to check out the full new Killa Exclusive range you can find it here.
