Information we collect
When you browse our website, create an account, place an order or contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, addresses, email address and telephone number.
- Account details, preferences and order history.
- Transaction references, payment status, delivery and refund information. Payments are handled by payment providers; we do not store full payment card details.
- Date of birth, age verification information and verification results.
- Messages, enquiries, complaints and reviews.
- IP address, device and browser information, security logs and website usage information.
- Cookie choices and marketing preferences.
We collect information directly from you and may receive relevant information from payment, delivery, age verification and fraud prevention providers. Website technologies may also collect information, subject to applicable consent requirements.
How we use information
We use information to process payments, fulfil orders, manage accounts and handle customer service, cancellations and returns. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you or steps you request before entering a contract.
We use information to meet legal obligations, including applicable age-of-sale, tax, accounting and consumer protection requirements.
We rely on legitimate interests where necessary to protect our website and customers, prevent fraud, manage disputes, improve our services and remember verified account status. We consider your rights when relying on these interests.
Where required, we obtain consent for marketing and optional tracking technologies. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
Information necessary to process or verify an order must be provided before we can fulfil it.
Age verification
We use One Account Mobile Limited, trading as 1account, to confirm that customers are aged 18 or over.
We may share your name, date of birth, billing address, email address and telephone number where needed. 1account checks information against its verification records and independent identity data sources, which may include credit reference, electoral and mobile network information.
If an automatic check is unsuccessful, you may be asked for additional information or identity documents through the verification process.
We receive verification results and relevant information needed to manage the check. Your verified status is saved to your Snus Boys account so you do not need to repeat verification when shopping through that account.
Where credit reference data is used, the search is a soft check and does not affect your credit score.
Checks may be automated. An unsuccessful or incomplete check prevents dispatch. If verification is not completed successfully within 72 hours of placing the order, we cancel it and refund any payment taken. You can contact us to correct information, challenge a result or request human review.
1account and its identity data providers may retain information for verification, security and compliance purposes under their own privacy notices. Further information is provided during verification. You can also obtain 1account’s privacy notice from its website or ask us for assistance.
Sharing information
Where necessary, we share information with:
- Payment, delivery and fulfilment providers.
- 1account and relevant identity data providers.
- Hosting, website maintenance, security and communications providers.
- Analytics and advertising providers, where used lawfully and subject to applicable choices.
- Professional advisers, regulators and public authorities where appropriate.
Relevant information may also be shared during a business sale or reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Providers acting on our behalf must follow appropriate contractual restrictions. Some providers also act as independent controllers for their own processing.
Processing outside the UK
Service providers may process information outside the UK. Where we make a restricted international transfer, we use an applicable legal mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, with any required assessment.
Contact us for details of the safeguards applicable to your information and how to obtain a copy.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as necessary for its purpose. We consider account activity, order fulfilment, applicable tax and accounting requirements, security needs, complaints and legal limitation periods.
We retain verified account status while needed to support your account and demonstrate compliance. Other verification information is retained only where necessary. Information held by 1account is subject to its own retention arrangements.
We may keep a minimal record of marketing objections to ensure we respect them. Information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, subject to managed backup deletion.
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards and restrict access to information. Please keep your login details secure.
Cookies and marketing
We use cookies and similar technologies for website functions, security and, where enabled, analytics or advertising.
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent. Where consent is required, optional technologies operate only after you agree. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent.
Our cookie information explains the technologies used, their purposes and duration, and how to change your choices.
We send marketing only where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the instructions in a message or by contacting us. This does not stop necessary order, verification or security messages. Age verification is not consent to marketing.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information. You may withdraw consent where we rely on it.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
Where applicable, you may also challenge significant automated decisions and request human intervention.
Contact us to exercise your rights. We may need to confirm your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions or adjustments, which we will explain. Some information must be retained to meet legal obligations or handle claims.
Under-18s
Our website and products are intended for adults aged 18 or over. If you believe someone under 18 has provided information or placed an order, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Complaints
Email [email protected] or write to our registered office to make a privacy complaint. We will acknowledge it within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you appropriately informed and explain the outcome.
You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We may update this policy when our services, processing or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version here and provide additional notice where appropriate.
